Clark Dodge appointed President of AAI-Pacific

With Clark's appointment as President of AAI-Pacific this gives us a direct connection in the Hawaiian Islands and the Pacific Rim.

Clark has extensive experience as a Chief Engineer for Washington State Ferries and was ranking senior Staff Chief Engineer upon retirement. He and Jack Starbird worked together on the very successful noise mitigation for the Jumbo MKII Ferry Program. That collaboration has carried over into AAI by extending the technology developed in to other fields.

Clark lives on the island of Kauai, with his wife and daughter, and grandson Dante Kai, now 5 years old.  Clark is warm, conscientious, astute and dedicated to the AAI Mission. AAI-Pacific is dedicated to providing noise control to prevent future hearing loss for the people of Hawaii, communities and business all around the world. Clark supports this mission with passion, skill and understanding and with his extensive experience in construction and engineering he is a natural to address what causes unwanted noise.

Noise soup, echos and sound bounces all over, so when the acoustic units are mounted in a panel with flat areas reserved between the units for artwork, sound diffracts off the flat surfaces, then flows to the adjacent acoustic units.  The acoustic units then absorb almost as much as if the whole panel were absorbent so voice and music are clear and not jumbled up.

He also owns and  operates CED Consulting LLC, from the Garden Island of Kauai. The products from the two companies often enhance mutual solutions for environmental and noise problems and gives him the background to deal with everything from designs to the types of equipment installed.
